October 16 – 22, 2016 Cabo Pulmo, Baja Mexico
Located in the East Cape region of Baja California, not far from the setting of John Steinbeck’s famous novella The Pearl, Cabo Pulmo incredibly boasts one hundred miles of pristine beaches on the Sea of Cortez, mostly due to a group of activists that convinced the Government to make it a National Park in 1995. * “Pulmo” is related to “pulmonary,” in reference to the free-divers who dove there in decades past looking for pearls and mother-of-pearl.
Participants will be staying at the Baja Coastal Institute retreat center. BCI’s mission is ocean preservation through education and sustainable practices. As with our other low impact seva (service) yoga trip, we seek to bridge our community with the local children as well as earth friendly activities.
Yoga, Diving, Sunbathing – make this retreat whatever you want it to be in an offering of nature, beauty, joy and relaxation with kindred spirits.
Location: Cabo Pulmo
A UNESCO heritage site, a haven for both divers and naturalists in part because of its coral reef, exquisite variety of underwater life, (not to mention flying manta rays) but for its quiet “off the beaten path” location where you can relax in the sun.
